- Catherine was the daughter of Adam Fox Jr. and Elizabeth Derrick. She married Joseph Keeler and lived on East Fork. Joseph was a War of 1812 veteran. He enlisted at Sevierville on 13 Nov 1814 and served as a private in Company K (Capt. John Porter) of the 5th Regiment (Col. Edwin E. Booth). He was discharged on 20 May 1815. Joseph farmed and raised horses in Sevier County. He lived to be 103. (From S.M.H.S. Journal Vol. XXII No.2, a Joseph Keeler married Nancy Hurst 16 Feb 1843. If this is the same Joseph, they were not living together at the time of the 1850 census.
